Talking with Your Doctor About Semaglutide & Tirzepatide

A doctor making a heart with their hands

Many patients express anxiety over discussing weight management with their doctors, but they should be some of your most trusted confidants when it comes to any health issue. Below, we’ve outlined the steps for how to get started with getting a prescription for a needle-free, compounded sublingual version of GLP-1s from your prescriber.

Follow these steps to start the process toward a prescription for compounded sublingual semaglutide or tirzepatide from your provider.

1) Reach out to your provider (this will likely require an appointment or you could just bring it up at your annual physical).

2) Print copies of the sample order forms & instruction form for your prescriber (found below) to take with you to your visit.

3) If your prescriber is agreeable (or if they have questions), have them email us at refills@andrewsapothecary.com. We can make it easy for them and share the needed info and order forms from there.

4) We’ll contact you once we have your prescription order & can discuss shipping or pick-up.

What We Can Offer:

If you have been prescribed a compounded medication, then you should know that: The medicine was compounded specifically for you in our pharmacy to fill the prescription your prescriber wrote for you. It was specially made to meet your individual needs.
